NF.Cardinal Gasparo (Caspar) Contarini (16 October 1483 - 24 August 1542), Italian diplomat and cardinal, the eldest son of Alvise Contarini, of the ancient noble House of Contarini. Participant in the Diet of Worms, a prominent Spirituali of the Roman Catholic Church. As Venetian Republic's ambassador to Charles V, defended the Republic's alliance with France.
